Three systems, priced honestly
Torch-on felt is the traditional choice and the cheapest. Fibreglass, also called GRP, is laid wet and cures into one sheet with no joints to fail. Rubber, also called EPDM, comes as a single sheet glued down, and suits large simple roofs. Each has its place. We'll price the ones that suit your roof and your budget rather than push the one we'd make most on, and we'll tell you what to expect from each.
Warm roofs on extensions
If you're building or re-covering an extension, we can build it as a warm roof. The insulation sits on top of the deck, under the covering, so the room below stays warm and you don't get condensation in the roof void. It's the right way to do a new flat roof over a living space.
Repair or replace?
Blisters, cracks at the upstands, ponding water, or a covering that's gone brittle: some of that is repairable, some isn't. If the deck underneath is sound and the damage is in one place, we can often patch it and buy you years. If the covering has failed all over or the deck has gone soft, we'll say so and quote for a replacement.
Balconies and walk-on roofs
Balconies need a covering that takes foot traffic and drains properly, with the upstands and door thresholds detailed right. We do them in fibreglass or rubber with the right protection on top.
